A youtube-dl configuration was added in 8c92c1b792, but this also didn’t work with my unmanaged configuration. Apparently mpv uses a dedicated option (ytdl-format) and ~~does not respect the global configuration~~ allows users to pass the magic string ytdl for no override since 0.33 (43c13e5ea2).
